No Green Pass in hotels
The Green Pass, the green certification for Covid with European validity, will not be required to enter hotels, nor to eat in their restaurants, from breakfast to dinner, if you are a hotel guest.
In a hotel, it will only have to be shown to access the services of SPA and wellness centres.
This is what the Italian government decided on the day the document attesting to vaccination, swabs or recovery came into force, and which will instead be compulsory for many other activities.
How to get to Sardinia
The other new is that the Green Pass will not be required during the month of August for transport on long-distance vehicles (ferries, trains and planes) with 80% of the available seats. Instead, this obligation will come into effect from September 1st.
Where the Green Pass is compulsory
According to the Government’s decree, green certification will be required for indoor table service in restaurants and bars, where it will not be necessary for the bar counter service.
It will also be required for shows open to the public, sporting events and competitions; museums and other cultural institutions and places; indoor swimming pools, gyms, wellness centres – including those located inside the hotels.
Festivals, fairs, conventions and congresses; spas, theme and amusement parks; indoor activities in cultural, social and recreational centres (excluding educational centres for children); summer centres and related catering activities; gambling halls, betting shops, bingo and casinos; public competitions.
