Here are the rules to travel to Sardinia (by June 15)

Sardinia is open. All you need to get to the isle is a vaccination certificate (even just the first dose, as long as 15 days have passed) or proof of a negative swab (molecular or antigenic) done no later than 48 hours before departure. These are the new rules (valid until the 15 of June) to get to Sardinia and relax during your 2021 summer holidays.

Looking forward to the Italian government’s green certification (effective from 15 June) and the European green pass (probably ready in July), the new rules in Sardinia 2021 have been released by the President of the Region, establishing all the obligation to register through an online form on the website of the Region or directly in the appropriate app.

2021 holidays in Sardinia: what to do before departure

Anyone wishing to travel by air or sea to Sardinia, must fill in the online form. through the Sardinia Region website or the ‘Sardegna Sicura’ app, which can be downloaded from the stores for iOS and Android systems. While filling up you must specify:

• that you completed the vaccine cycle
• or you got the first dose of the vaccine at least 15 days earlier
• you did a swab (molecular or antigenic) with a negative result no later than 48 hours before departure.

On arrival you will reach your destination avoiding any other check, as every information will be ready available online thanks to your previous registration.

2021 holidays: Sardinia is open and safe

Visitors arriving in Sardinia from 1 June will find an island open with no curfew. Thanks to the positive trend of Covid data, Sardinia will pass into the white zone: no restrictions for commercial activities, restaurants and nightclubs, parks open and parties allowed to guests in possession of the green certification.

The Health Testing Center guarantees the absolute reliability of the results in a fast time, thanks to the presence of specialized staff and the use of state-of-the-art equipment. Children over 2 years can also take the test, they must be accompanied by an adult. The Centre is open 7 days a week.

How to book a swab

Accessing the service is easy both through the website or by phone. Once you have completed the booking and made the payment, the system generates a booking ticket which must be shown on the day of the test, together with a valid id. Once the test has been carried out, it will not be necessary to wait for the result on site. You will receive your test result by email to the address provided during the purchase. The result of your test will also be available in English.
