Everyone in Olbia this summer. The “happy city” attracts more and more tourists, and more

Olbia is confirmed as one of the most sought-after Italian tourist destinations, with dozens of new direct national and international flights. And there are also those who decide to stay.

The city that the Greeks founded as Felice (Ολβιος/Olbiòs precisely means happy) sees once again this year an extraordinary development of air connections, with as many as 16 new seasonal flights that bring the airport to the 73 destinations reached this summer.

However, this shouldn’t come as a surprise. Recently a study by Preply confirmed Olbia as second only to Matera on a national level in terms of appreciation by tourists. Not only the crystal clear sea, but also a wide range of related services such as boat tours and snorkeling in the beautiful Tavolara Marine Protected Area, a well-kept historic center full of clubs for all budgets, important archaeological remains.
It also lends itself to being chosen as a starting point for other destinations, given its proximity to places such as Costa Smeralda and the La Maddalena Archipelago to the north and San Teodoro and Cala Gonone to the south.

A city in decisive expansion also thanks to a high  quality of life.

The most recent data confirm a constant trend for 30 years now. The only city in Sardinia and one of the few in Italy with a marked increase in population, Olbia seems to be an excellent destination for “setting up a home”.
Undoubtedly one of the main factors that contribute to the quality of life in Olbia is the climate. The city enjoys a Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and mild winters. This favorable climate allows you to enjoy numerous outdoor activities even in winter. Pleasant walks along the beaches and excursions on the nearby Limbara mountains or in Barbagia are a habit for the inhabitants of the town.

From the point of view of services, Olbia is a well-developed city. It has a large port (the largest in Sardinia and one of the first in Italy) and a modern international airport that connects the city with dozens of destinations in Europe and Italy. In addition, the city has a good public transport network, with buses connecting the various neighborhoods and neighboring towns with the beaches.

This makes Olbia a “special observation” also at an international level. In fact, the city has been identified among the 8 places in Italy with the best quality of life by the prestigious international magazine Travel+Leisure.

From hotels to holiday homes, Olbia has the tourist offer of a big city.

Olbia offers a large accommodation capacity. About thirty hotels and a few hundred other structures of various types make Olbia a destination capable of welcoming substantially any type of tourism.

In this context, our Felix Hotel in Olbia is perfect for discovering the most dynamic city in Sardinia but just a few minutes from the beaches.
A brand new four-star superior hotel conceived as a smart hotel in the center of the city of Olbia. A social crossroads, it is located in viale Aldo Moro, a dynamic natural commercial centre.

This hotel offers large spaces and bright, furnished in a modern style, and a fantastic view of Tavolara.

As we have seen Olbia therefore offers many reasons to be chosen for a holiday: a generous nature, a strategic position, a city center full of clubs of all types and traditional Sardinian hospitality make it an ideal holiday destination.

As for us, we look forward to welcoming you to our Felix Hotels.
